• All-New Aluminum Bilateral Beam Frame

A completely redesigned aluminum bilateral beam frame based on the class-dominating YZ250F provides just the right amount of strength and flex for the perfect balance of stability and cornering performance. The result is a better handling machine with lightweight feel and increased front wheel traction, allowing the rider to enter corners with greater confidence and more line choices.

• Revised Suspension Settings

Yamaha's class-leading suspension has been revised for 2025 to lower the center of gravity for a more planted feel and increased ability in tight turns. Fully adjustable KYB coil spring-type fork with speed-sensitive damping delivers exceptional balance between handling and bump absorption for championship-winning performance, and now includes a hand-adjustable knob for easy compression adjustments. Linkage-type rear suspension features a KYB® shock with revised settings to provide less pitch on corner entry/exit for improved stability.

• New Air Intake

Optimized intake path draws air from under the side covers and seat allowing for a lighter, slimmer and more compact body. This redesign allows radiator shrouds to be two inches slimmer and the airbox cover to be lower and more narrow. The more efficient intake path also boosts mid- to high-rpm engine performance.

• New Four-Level Traction Control

New four-level Traction Control is enabled through Yamaha's groundbreaking next-generation Power Tuner App, along with additional convenient features including a lap timer, data logging and helpful setup guides.

• New Switchgear

A new handlebar-mounted multi-function switch enables Traction Control adjustment, along with on-the-fly fuel map selection with installation of Yamaha’s accessory GYTR ECU.

• Slimmer Body & Improved Ergos

The new 2025 WR250F features a slimmer, flatter body design for improved control, including a slimmer fuel tank, a 15mm lower airbox and 50mm narrower radiator shrouds for easier rider movement and cornering performance. The rider triangle is also improved with increased legroom between the seat and foot pegs for greater rider comfort.

• High Performance Four-Stroke Engine

The compact, powerful WR250F engine includes all the same race-developed technologies of the race-winning YZ250F, tuned for cross country performance. Revised airflow system, new cam chain and shorter muffler combine to increase linear power across the entire rev range.

• Precisely Tuned Chassis

The highly developed aluminum bilateral beam frame features precisely tuned flex characteristics for competition-ready performance. The forged section at the swingarm pivot, and improved engine mounting brackets provide a nimble lightweight feeling in tight, technical terrain while still providing control in fast sections. Yamaha's class-leading KYB suspension has been revised to lower the center of gravity for a planted feel and increased ability in tight turns.

• High-Spec Braking Components

The high performance braking system provides exceptional stopping power and control through high-spec componentry including a rigid front caliper with larger diameter pistons, aggressive brake pad compound and a 270mm front rotor. The rear brake gets a lightweight rear caliper and hanger with a 240mm rear rotor to reduce unsprung weight.

• Competition-Bred Engine Performance

The revolutionary front-intake/rear-exhaust, liquid-cooled, fuel-injected, four-stroke engine has been developed for enduro competition. A new air induction system works with a high compression piston for a wide and linear spread of power.

• Forward-Thinking Engine Design

Reversing the cylinder head while placing the intake forward and the exhaust to the rear allow for a straight shot, downdraft intake and straight exhaust port for maximized engine performance.

• New Four-Level Traction Control

• Six-Speed Gearbox

A six-speed transmission ensures the right gear is available for the wide variety of terrain found in enduro racing and fast trail riding. Transmission features durable gears and a heavy-duty, large-diameter clutch.

• Mass-Centralized Electric Starter System

The WR250F features a new compact, centrally mounted electric starter system to minimize restart delays and add convenience. There is also a new lithium battery to reduce weight.

• Practical Touches

Quick-adjust clutch, wide 55mm platform foot pegs, four-position rubber-mounted handlebar clamps, aluminum handlebars and a side stand come standard for added rider convenience. The WR250F is also fitted with a radiator fan for cool running.
